Determination

I’ve never had ants in the house before…until yesterday. I was in the kitchen and noticed the cats had knocked their kibbles across the floor, or so I thought. I was about to sweep the kibbles up until I realized they were moving. There was maybe a dozen ants with several lazy riders working their butts off to carry the kibbles off. After 15 mins they had only gotten a couple of feet with their bounty so I decided to reward them by picking up the bits (with ants still attached) and dropped them outside near their mound. Then I swept up the straglers, dropped them in the same place and sprayed the inside with bug spray.

On the hunt…

Mr Rabbit likes to wander into my backyard for an evening meal. Mr Rabbit does this every night. Both my cats watch Mr Rabbit eat my grass. Once in a while the cats chase Mr Rabbit. This was one of those evenings. Mr rabbit got chased through the garden and around my shed. Did Mr rabbit learn his lesson?

No. Mr Rabbit was back a few hours later to eat my grass.

Well overdue cleaning

I had been putting this off for way to long. My little pond was in dire need of cleaning and after many attempts of trying to remove the algae balls (string algae is easy to control) I decided to roll up my sleeves and jump right in. I did a complete drain, scrubdown and refill yesterday and a new filtration system is being made.
