I decided to make my home in Florida so I could be warm. This whole week has been nothing but frikkin cold.

I’m freezing my ass off here. I live in Florida so I can enjoy seasonally warm winters but damn, it’s colder here than in Maine today! And to make things worse, it’s just not one or two days of radically cold weather but a whole week of artic chill.
Poor Junebug, she got her first taste of the great outdoors. She had a blast running under the bushes but wasn’t to thrilled about the open spaces. By this time next year I won’t be able to get her to come in…mark my words 
Junebug is on a trial run to she if she wants to join the family. She came to me by way of Wynn Haven Animal Clinic. She’s been there for about 3 months and I am a sucker for homeless cats. She’s been living in a cage so she’s a bit skitish, specially when I walk into the room. She does stick her head out immediately when Rhubarb enters the room and so far he doesn’t seem to upset there’s a tiny cat running around.
I have been watching this on going fued for 2 years now. Me mum thought a flowerbox on the mailbox would be pretty. Aspen thinks it’s a great place to sleep. No matter what mum does Aspen keeps climbing in. Mum won’t quit so the pownage goes on.
The last few years has been slow in the storm department. Thought it might be a slow year again but now that August has rolled around we had 4 storms develop in one week. Not much to worry about yet but kinda odd. Right now I’m waiting for Claudette to hit. The *coff* eye is about 30 miles away. Supposed to be gusts to 65mph.
Shhh, can you hear that? Thought not. It’s so dead still and quite it’s erie, but not a hint of wind.
I decided to start a screen printing business. I’ve told everyone I’m doing it just so I can print shirts that say “I Love Porn”

I went to wakulla Springs for the weekend to help my parents celebrate their 50th anniversary. I’m to tired to post much right now but will update more soon. More images after the jump…
I just read an interesting tidbit (on a blog). Of 133 million tracked blogs, only 7.5 million of them had been updated in the last 120 days. And of those active blogs only 50,000 to 100,000 really have content. So I guess there are 126 million blogs about Fluffy the cat that have gone forgotten much like the hopes and dreams of many a wannabe blogger who hoped to make millions from advertising. I have nothing to say, update seldomly and get about 5000 hits a month. With Google Adsense that might equal $5 a month \o/
I’ve never had ants in the house before…until yesterday. I was in the kitchen and noticed the cats had knocked their kibbles across the floor, or so I thought. I was about to sweep the kibbles up until I realized they were moving. There was maybe a dozen ants with several lazy riders working their butts off to carry the kibbles off. After 15 mins they had only gotten a couple of feet with their bounty so I decided to reward them by picking up the bits (with ants still attached) and dropped them outside near their mound. Then I swept up the straglers, dropped them in the same place and sprayed the inside with bug spray.
